Lovable App Rescue: Artist Marketplace, Shipped in Two Weeks

Artgola is a directory and booking platform that connects clients with live event artists for weddings and events, with online payments built in. We rebuilt its broken core in two weeks: working onboarding, Stripe plan switching, accurate search, global map pins, promo codes, a Founder model, and four user roles.

Can you fix a broken Lovable app?

Yes. Artgola was a Lovable-built React and Supabase marketplace where most core flows were broken or manual. Artist onboarding needed back-and-forth from the team. Stripe showed only one subscription option. Search filters returned wrong results. Map pins only worked at US state level, so international artists could not be found. Google Auth was buggy, roles were misconfigured, and payments landed on the wrong accounts.

We rebuilt onboarding, Stripe plan switching, search filters, map pins, and role permissions. The working core shipped in 2 weeks.

How long does it take to fix a Lovable app?

For Artgola, 2 weeks. That covered a rebuild of every broken core flow: self-serve artist onboarding, monthly and yearly Stripe plans, accurate search filters, worldwide map pins, a promo code system, and four user roles. Scope drives time. But this shows what a focused two-week sprint can ship.

How does artist onboarding work on a marketplace like Artgola?

An artist signs up, applies, and an admin reviews and approves the application before the profile goes live. This keeps the directory curated. Before our rebuild, this needed manual back-and-forth from the team on every application.

Now the flow runs end to end with no manual involvement. Artists sign up, get approved, and manage their own profiles.

How do you handle multi-role auth in Supabase?

We used Supabase Auth with Google and Apple login instead of writing a separate auth service. The relational database made cross-role logic simple.

Artgola runs four roles: Artist, Admin, Super Admin, and Founder. Each role has its own permissions and subscription rules. Keeping this in Supabase also made the system easy to extend as new role requirements came in.

How does Stripe subscription switching work in a Lovable app?

Artgola's Stripe setup only showed one subscription option. We rebuilt it so users can switch between monthly and yearly plans in one click.

We also added a promo code system that gives new users 3 months free, and a Founder model where the first 100 users pay nothing until 31 August 2026.

Can you build map-based search for a services marketplace?

Yes. Artgola's map pins only worked at US state level, so international artists could not be found. We rebuilt the map to work worldwide with correct zoom behavior. We also fixed the search filters, so results by location, date, and category are accurate.

The Result

End-to-end onboarding works without manual involvement. All four roles function with the right permissions. Subscriptions run cleanly in both monthly and yearly tiers.

Is TechEmulsion a fit for marketplace or directory products?

Yes. Artgola is a three-sided marketplace: clients, artists, and admins. We shipped discovery, booking, payments, an admin panel, and curated onboarding on React, Supabase, and Stripe. If you are building a directory or booking product, this is the same pattern.

What would you do differently on a project like this?

Lock down the role and permission structure on day one. That is where most of the unexpected back-and-forth happened on Artgola, since every fix touched roles in some way.
